The Betty Andrews Recital Hall is practical with a touch of class
The Betty Andrews Recital Hall is an elegant space providing enviable acoustics for Candlelight concerts. The arc-shaped seating area and raised stage create an atmosphere of openness between the audience and talented musicians, which comes alive with the light of thousands of candles.
The Bison Lodge was built solo
After being built by a 76-year-old log craftsman named Hobart Dowler for the Northern Alberta Pioneers and Descendants Association, Pioneers Cabin opened in 1959. Since then, however, the venue has since been renamed ‘The Bison Lodge’. Its interior features a large stone fireplace, a gable roof, planed poplar floors, and spruce window frames. This cozy log cabin is the perfect setting for intimate, classical performances.
Triffo Theatre is a performer’s paradise in Allard Hall
The largest event space in Allard Hall, the Triffo Theatre is a sight to behold. State-of-the-art lighting, mezzanine, and balcony levels are all part of the premium experience at a performance here. Audiences can enjoy unforgettable concerts bathed in the glow of candlelight inside this stunning venue.
St. Augustine’s Anglican Church is a pillar of community
Situated in East Edmonton, St. Augustine’s Anglican Church is a majestic, community-based church on Fulton Road. The building combines Anglican parish designs with Gothic Revival architecture, sporting enormous, stained glass windows whose multicolored panes light up under candlelight.
With thousands of flickering candles illuminating each unique space, the Edmonton Candlelight concerts will present a collection of classical music over the course of 65 mesmerizing minutes.
Candlelight concerts have been met with countless 5-star reviews, and guests have called it “a creative, enchanting, and new concert experience” and that “the performers were fantastic!”
